You may not know it, but the G Suite pack, whose most well-known service is obviously GMail, offers a powerful tool to organize video-conference or chat meetings with your employees, customers, partners and suppliers and to maintain your service level and the efficiency of your teams: Google Meet.
It is technically very simple to organize meetings or participate easily in videoconferences with Google Meet (also called Hangouts Meet). After logging into your GMail account, you simply send an email to the people you want to invite, or create a meeting with these same participants in Google Calendar. These people will receive an URL link that they can click on to accept and join the meeting (they will even receive a reminder by email and/or a notification on their smartphone).
Hangouts Meet allows you to offer a personalized and face-to-face customer service with your interlocutors, wherever they are and wherever you are. You can create private rooms, or group meetings of up to 250 people* (depending on your package). The participant management system also lets you know who has attended and who is present at a meeting.
* Until July 1, 2020, all G Suite customers will be able to use the advanced features of Hangouts Meet, such as large meetings (up to 250 participants), live streaming or recording of meetings. Learn more about Hangouts Meet. (more information)
Collaborative work meetings. To exchange efficiently on current projects, the collaborative work tools integrated in G Suite (Google Drive and Google docs and sheets) also allow to share documents, training or tutorials by sharing screens.
No need to be at the office to participate in a meeting on meet, the iOS and Android applications of Meet, allow you to participate in your meetings or to organize them easily. You’ll even be able to join a meeting in audio if you’re in an area without Wi-Fi or 4/5G coverage. A phone number is associated with each meeting so you can join other participants if you’re in a meeting without Wi-Fi or 4/5G coverage.
Like the other tools in G Suite, Google Meet offers Google’s privacy services. Likewise, video conference data (video, chats, conversations…) is encrypted and secured from end to end.
